SwimSafe Training

This skills test should take 30-45 minutes and is a requirement for all new lifeguards to attend before their Lifeguard Certification Class. 

What is included in the swim test?

• Swimming 100-150 yds either freestyle or breaststroke
• Tread for 2 minutes with no hands
• Submerge feet first and retrieve a 10lb rubber brick from the deepest part of the pool

What should I wear/ bring?

You will need to come in a professional style bathing suit. One piece suit for females, short style swim trunks for boys. 

You will also need a towel. Goggles are NOT allowed. There will be locker rooms available for changing.
