Your employment with SwimSafe is contingent on passing this course and instructor recommendation.

The purpose of the StarGuard Lifeguard Training Course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services arrive. 

You are required to complete the online training component before you show up to class. This online training will be shared with you within 3 business days after registering. If you don't have an email invitation to the online training, you need to email Ellie. Please budget your time accordingly. We expect you to be prepared for class by learning the information presented in the online course.

This course is only for current SwimSafe employees in good standing. Since the training is free, your certification will belong to SwimSafe Pool Management. Your certification will only be released to you with payment.

The purpose of the Renewal Lifeguard Training Course is to recertify lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services arrive.

Please be sure your online training is completed prior to attending class. If you are experiencing issues with logging into the portal, please email Ellie. Please budget your time accordingly. The online material takes about 4 hours for renewal guards.
