SwimSafe Training

This course is completed over 2 days!

Day 1: University of Dayton 9am-12pm 

Day 2: Vandalia Recreation Center 8am-3pm

The purpose of the Renewal Lifeguard Training Course is to recertify lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services arrive.

Please be sure your online training is completed prior to attending class. This will be sent 10 days before your scheduled course. If you are experiencing issues with logging into the portal, please email Ellie. Please budget your time accordingly. The online material takes about 4 hours for renewal guards. 

Since the training is free, your certification will belong to SwimSafe Pool Management. Your certification will only be released to you with payment.
